Spending your summer in the French Alps?
If you love two wheels, this is for you
If there is a place that can be considered the "Mecca" of cycling, it is the Morzine-Avoriaz domain. Whether you are looking for the roar of the crowd at an urban event, the personal challenge of a legendary mountain pass, or the vastness of an international route, this summer's calendar is packed.
Here are the three key events that will define the season:
Pass'Portes du Soleil MTB
Can you imagine crossing the border between France and Switzerland on your bike, covering 80 km of trails and using 15 lifts in a single day? The Pass’Portes du Soleil MTB is arguably the most famous cycling event in the region and one of the biggest summer weekends in the Alps.
• Dates: June 26 to 28, 2026.
• Location: The entire Portes du Soleil domain (start from Morzine, Avoriaz, or Les Gets).
• Tickets: Pre-registration required (approx. €60-€70). Includes: One-day lift pass, local food tastings at feed stations, event gift, and insurance.
• Question for you: Do you prefer e-MTB technology to ride without limits, or are you a classic rider who sticks to traditional MTB?
